HOW TO KEEP THE SPARK ALIVE IN MARRIAGE

Updated: Apr 4, 2025

A thrving marriage isn’t built on grand gestures alone; it’s nurtured daily through love, respect, and intentionality. The strongest marriages are those where both partners continuously invest in their connection, no matter how many years pass.

COMMUNICATION BUILDS Connection: Adam and Eve walked with God in the garden, sharing intimacy with Him and each other (Genesis 3:8-9). Open communication fosters emotional closeness. When was the last time you had a meaningful conversation with your spouse beyond daily routines? Take time today to ask, listen, and connect.

LOVE REQUIRES GIVING: Marriage isn’t about what we can get but about what we can give. Jesus loved the Church sacrificially, showing that love is an action, not just a feeling (Ephesians 5:25). Small acts of kindness, a thoughtful note, an unexpected hug, or a sincere compliment can reignite affection.

INTENTIONALITY REKINDLES FIRE: The Shulamite woman and Solomon’s love in Song of Solomon 2:16 shows that passion is nurtured. Prioritize date nights, laughter, and shared dreams. Even in the busiest seasons, take a moment to remind your spouse why you love them.
