Have you ever found yourself paralysed by overthinking?
Trying to figure out every single detail of the journey before even taking the first step? You’re not alone.
In our world of planning, forecasting, and endless possibilities, we often fall into the trap of wanting to know the entire blueprint before making a move. With God, the journey is different. A classic example is Abraham. When God called him, He didn’t give him a map or a destination, just a command.
“Go from your country, your people, and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” - Genesis 12:1 (NIV)
Listen, God invites us into a different rhythm, a rhythm of trust.
Trusting in God’s sovereignty means releasing the need to control outcomes and embracing the beauty of walking with Him one step at a time. It’s choosing to go from A to B without stressing about G, H, or I. When we trust God daily, we surrender the pressure to predict, and instead, we lean into His presence and provision for today.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” - Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Notice it doesn’t say a spotlight for the whole highway. Just a lamp for your feet. Enough light for the next step. That’s how God works. He invites us into a relationship that requires daily dependence, not a download of the entire map.
When we flow with God, we begin to see that obedience in the now opens doors for what's next. One act of faith, one decision to trust, one “yes” today leads to divine alignment tomorrow.
So here’s the encouragement as it relates to trusting God's sovereignty:
Don’t let the fear of the unknown rob you of the joy of today’s obedience.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just do the next right thing with God.
Flow from A to B. He’s already in your G, H, and I. You just need to walk with Him from here.
