"They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace." Jeremiah 6:14 (NIV)
"They treat the wounds of my people as though they were scratches. They say, 'Peace, everything is well,' when there is no peace, and nothing is well." Jeremiah 6:14 (TPT)
How often do we say, “I’m okay,” when deep down, we are not? Masking pain doesn’t heal it, true healing begins when we acknowledge our wounds and allow God to restore us.
Those who are truly healing understand that it’s a continuous process, not a one-time event. They embrace growth, self-awareness, and transformation, knowing that healing is a journey, not just a destination.
Don’t settle for surface-level peace. Lean into the process of true restoration. God is ready to heal - not just cover up - what’s been broken.
Take a moment today to reflect: Are you masking your wounds, or allowing God to heal them?
